From the Alpujarra some of the most beautiful cities of Europe are within a days drive. The nearest is Granada, 90 minutes away. Visit the Moorish Palace of the Alhambra and wander through the narrow cobbled streets of the Albaicín, the old Arab quarter. It has something to offer everyone, Art, Culture and Music. Above the city standing like a stage set are the snow-capped mountains of the Sierra Nevada.

With good motorway links it is possible to reach the two other spectacular cities, Cordoba and Seville in a day.

This is an excellent resort with a vertical drop of 1,300m and 61kms spread over 39 runs. The resort hosted the World Championships and has excellent skiing for all standards. When necessary, artificial snow is used. Travel time from La Catitera is 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on road conditions.

Costa Tropical

The nearest beach resort to La Catitera is Salobreña, just 30 minutes drive away. An easy drive to have a wonderful fish lunch on the beach and wander around the old town.
